Project Title: The Sidemen: The Backbone of Country Music
Type: Feature Documentary (Post-Production)
Location: Remote / Hybrid (Editing done remotely; occasional in-person meetings)
We are two producers—based in New York and Nashville—seeking a Research Assistant / Associate Editor Intern to support post-production on The Sidemen: The Backbone of Country Music.
The film explores the 75-year history of Nashville’s legendary studio musicians and their profound influence on the sound of country music. It features interviews with more than 70 artists, producers, and musicians, including Keith Urban, Post Malone, Vince Gill, Jelly Roll, Ashley McBryde, Miranda Lambert, and many others.
Responsibilities
- Research and source archival photos and video materials.
- Collaborate with producers and senior editors using Trello project management software (a free account required).
Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow editorial direction.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with documentary storytelling or music history is a plus.
