AV Ministry Intern

Duration: One semester up to one full year.

General Description:

  • An Audio/Visual Ministry Intern will serve as an extension of the AV Ministry of Forest Hills and help facilitate production for Sunday morning services, Wednesday evening events, and other special events.

Supervisor:

  • An Audio/Visual Ministry Intern will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Media & Technology.

Requirements:

  • Spirituality: The intern should see themselves as spiritual mentor and leader for their ministry area. The intern will be expected to always demonstrate the highest level of integrity and Christian witness. (Col. 3:17; 3:23-24)
  • Education: All applicants should have completed their second year in college (or equivalent) by the start of the internship.
  • Character: The intern should show a growing love for God and the people they serve and exemplify character above reproach. (Mt. 22:36-40)

Description:

  • Set up and tear down audio, video, and lighting equipment in event spaces for Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, and special events.
  • Set up slides/graphics in ProPresenter for services and events.
  • Assist with live event production in the positions of FOH Audio, Broadcast Audio, Lighting Operator, Graphics Operator, Video Switcher, or Camera Op, depending on the needs of the event.

Pay:

  • $13 per hour (8 hours per week average). Pay is Bi-weekly.
  • Sunday mornings from 7am-12pm and Wednesday nights from 4:30-7:30pm are required. The rest of the hours are flexible.

Ideal candidates will:

  • Have a heart for worship and the ministry of the church
  • Have a background/current classes in audio and potentially other tech fields
  • Work well with volunteers in a church setting
  • Have the initiative and desire necessary to go above and beyond what is asked of them

This internship will help to prepare students for work in the church tech field through experience in live sound, graphics, lighting, video, working in a church environment, and more.
