Please note: This is a hybrid position, with an in-office requirement of 2-3 days per week in our Washington DC office.

ABOUT THE TEAM 🤝

The Data Analytics team at Rocket Money is a dynamic group of 10 data professionals supporting critical business functions across product, finance, customer success, accounting, and operations. We are passionate about transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. Our team plays a crucial role in:

  • Developing comprehensive business intelligence dashboards
  • Conducting deep-dive analyses to uncover business trends
  • Supporting product strategy through data-driven recommendations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex business challenges
  • Implementing advanced analytics solutions to improve company performance

Our Tech Stack is: BigQuery, dbt, Looker, DeepNote, Amplitude, and Fivetran

WHAT WE OFFER:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL:

  • Build and maintain interactive dashboards in Looker
  • Write and optimize LookML for enhanced data visualization
  • Automate SQL scripts using dbt to improve data pipeline efficiency
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to answer critical business questions
  • Help define and track key performance metrics
  • Assist in designing and analyzing A/B tests using statistical methods
  • Write Python scripts to conduct statistical analysis (t-tests, ANOVAs)
  • Collaborate with business teams to translate complex data insights into understandable narratives

ABOUT YOU 🦄

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in: Economics, Business, Statistics, Accounting/Finance, Data Analytics, Data Science or similar
  • Basic understanding of SQL or willingness to complete pre-internship training
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Passion for data storytelling and insights generation

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with:
    • SQL
    • Python
    • Statistical analysis
    • Data visualization tools
  • Understanding of experimental design
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Additional information: Hourly range of $18 - $33/hour + benefits. Hourly pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
