Co-Op Field Service Technician

# of Positions: 10-15

Salary: $23.00 per hour

Contract length: 8 - 12 months

Base Location: Within 50 miles of an approved major international airport 

Approved location examples: Dallas, Houston, Austin, Chicago, Charlotte, Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix, DC, Philadelphia, Orlando, Tampa, Miami, and open to reviewing other major airport locations.

Job Duties

  • Travel to exciting locations and tackle hands-on projects, from programming to troubleshooting cutting-edge innovative automation equipment.
  • Ensure systems are installed accurately, with sensors and equipment calibrated to perfection.
  • Provide training to customers on system operations, addressing any challenges with confidence.
  • Schedules range from 5-2, 10-4 & 14-7’s.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. 
  • Desire to travel - this job is 100% travel. Typical schedule is 10 days on, 4 days off. 
    • There is no remote work. You will be away from home often!
  • Must live, or willing to relocate to, within 50 miles of approved airport location.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think clearly and logically through complex situations
  • Comfortable adapting to same-day and next-day changes to project scope and location
  • Must be able to travel to Delaware for a 4 week long paid training program. 
    • ProAutomated covers travel expenses, lodging & provides weekly meal stipend.
  • Must own or have the ability to obtain a personal vehicle within 45 days of hire for travel within 5 hours.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform essential job functions in a variety of environments, including customer sites, industrial settings, and outdoor locations. To successfully perform this role, candidates must be able to:

  • Walk long distances across large facilities or job sites
  • Climb ladders, stairs, or work at heights as needed
  • Lift, carry, and move equipment or materials up to 50 pounds
  • Stand, kneel, bend, or reach for extended periods
  • Work in varying environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, noise)
