INTERN – PUBLIC RELATIONS

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Contribute to Nintendo’s Public Relations team in driving positive coverage for Nintendo and its products.
- Gain experience learning how the PR team handles high profile news stories, industry events and cross-platform marketing campaigns for games
- Assist in the creation of press materials, participate in team brainstorming sessions offering creative input on campaign tactics, and provide logistical event coordination support, as needed
- Conduct research on topics such as gaming trends in popular culture, including impact of celebrity influencers and identify emerging trends to provide insights for Nintendo’s PR strategy. Evaluate potential tools to enhance our research capabilities
- Collaborate with the broader Communications team and agency partners to learn how PR is integrated with influencer, celebrity, and social media marketing for Nintendo products
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
- 3.0+ GPA
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with a graduation conferral date between May 2026 and June 2027
- Pursuing a degree in Public Relations or Communications
- Emphasis or minor in Marketing, Project Management/Business, Journalism, or related field is welcome
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with social media and influencer marketing preferred
- Interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Intermediate with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Understanding of OneDrive & SharePoint a plus
- Understanding of Nintendo products a plus
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Able to work 40 hours a week onsite throughout the course of the 10-week summer internship between June 15 – August 21
- A completed Internship Questionnaire following application
This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time. Housing and travel support will be provided for non-local hires.
