Intern - IT Security Engineer

INTERN – IT SECURITY ENGINEER

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Contribute to Nintendo’s IT Security team on risk management, security governance and operations, including ongoing maintenance and optimization of the security tool stack and documentation 
  • Identify repeatable tasks and develop automation solutions to improve security operations  
  • Collaborate with key IT security stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement  
  • Utilize vulnerability management tools to identify, analyze, and determine urgency for remediation 

 

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3.0+ GPA 
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with a graduation conferral date between May 2026 and June 2027 
  • Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related fields 
  • Knowledge of at least one modern programming language like Python, Java, JavaScript 
  • Foundational understanding of information security concepts 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with stakeholders across departments 
  • Adept at data analysis, with the ability to turn raw data into meaningful security intelligence 
  • Curious and proactive approach to uncover and investigate security challenges 
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States 
  • Able to work 40 hours a week onsite throughout the course of the 10-week summer internship between June 15 – August 21 
  • A completed Internship Questionnaire following application
