Building Automation Engineer

Atkinson Electronics, Inc. is currently seeking a Building Automation Controls Engineer. The Controls Engineer will manage multiple Building Automation projects assisting in design, installation, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, etc. Atkinson Electronics, Inc. is a full service HVAC controls company specializing in building automation and energy management. Atkinson Electronics has been in HVAC business for over 40 years. We provide building automation services, maintenance and installation work to commercial, industrial, hospitals and military base customers. 

Job Qualifications:

Punctual and reliable

Ability to execute multiple priorities effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Independent problem solver with excellent critical thinking skills able to work with minimal supervision

Self-motivated – capable of working independently or in a team environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail 

Must have the ability to interact with the customer, contractors and company employees in a courteous, professional and effective manner

This is position may require but not be limited to lifting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and being up on ladders.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Requirements: 

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Must meet pre-employment drug and alcohol testing requirements

Clean driving record

Must be able to work with hand tools and small power tools 

Ensure that all safety rules, regulations, and codes are followed to the prescribed measures 

Attend and participate in training sessions inside the office and on the jobsite

Salary: Competitive Pay. Compensation depends on experience and ability. Will train.
