Technical Assistant Intern

Position Overview:
Blue Wave Semiconductors (BWS) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Technician Assistant. This role provides hands-on support to our technical staff and plays a key part in the smooth operation of our workshop and lab environments.

The Technician Assistant will support a range of technical and operational activities, including operating thin-film deposition equipment, assisting with product assembly and testing, maintaining technical documentation, preparing and packing products, and performing other general support tasks. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both the technical and operational aspects of a high-tech manufacturing environment, while developing practical skills and building valuable industry experience.

This role is ideal for someone who is organized, adaptable, and eager to learn, with a willingness to take on a variety of tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist technicians with preparing, assembling, and testing small electrical components.
  • Support daily operations by packing products, labeling shipments, and organizing inventory.
  • Perform general lab or workshop maintenance and organization as needed.
  • Help with miscellaneous tasks to ensure smooth workflow, including administrative and operational support.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects accurately and on schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with basic electrical concepts is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Hands-on skills and comfort working with assembly components and basic tools.
  • Basic organizational and administrative skills, including labeling and documentation.
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of tasks in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
