Green hydrogen plays an essential role towards our net-zero mission. Hydrogen has widespread industrial and transport applications. Conventional hydrogen production from fossil fuels is accompanied by the release of large quantities of carbon dioxide. Our innovative technologies use renewable energy and water to produce green hydrogen with zero emissions. We aspire to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and scale manufacturing to meet the booming green hydrogen market.
We are seeking a highly motivated Chemical Engineering or Chemistry Co-op to join our H2 Center of Excellence (COE) in Burlington, MA. You will support ongoing research projects in polymer synthesis, scale-up, and membrane fabrication, contributing to the development of advanced materials for green energy
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support scale-up and process development efforts from bench to pilot scales.
- Collaborate with the polymer team on R&D polymer synthesis projects.
- Analytical characterization of small molecules, polymers, and membranes.
- Contribute to the processing and fabrication of membranes
- Support and uphold all laboratory Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices, including conducting regular safety checks, ensuring proper chemical labeling and waste disposal, and assisting in the implementation of safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Recently Graduated or currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or chemistry.
- Hands-on experience with polymer chemistry or organic chemical synthesis, lab course or research experience welcome.
- Familiarity with NMR, IR, DSC, HPLC, and DMA preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
