Description:

The Keith County Sheriff’s Office in Ogallala Nebraska is accepting applications for the position of full time Deputy Sheriff.  Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED and be of good moral character, with no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions, have a valid driver’s license and be willing to work a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays. Nebraska Certification is preferred but not mandatory. Non-certified applicants must be able to meet the NLETC qualifications for certification. All applicants must pass a background check. Benefit package offers family health insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, county retirement package, take home patrol vehicle, uniforms and equipment. The Keith County Sheriff’s Office provides law enforcement to the entire county. Starting pay for non-certified is $25.00. Certified officers start at $28.00 with a sign on bonus of $8,000 after the first year.
