Cube(PX4) flight controller integrator/RC helicopter test pilot

We are a manufacturer of small unmanned helicopters and heavy lift multirotors, based in Irwindale, CA. We’re seeking a flight controller specialist or advanced engineering student to assist in a paid role, with short-term(2-5 days max) system integration and tuning work on a single rotor aircraft.

Requirements:

Proficiency with basic setup and flight of electric & gas-powered helicopters

Proficiency with PX4/Ardupilot flight stacks

Familiarity with Herelink 

Current AMA membership

Responsibilities:

Configure and tune PX4(Cube) flight controller and Herelink transmission/telemetry set

Verify sensor calibration (IMU, GPS, air data, optical flow, etc.)

Perform bench tests and flight readiness checks

Perform test flights until aircraft fully tuned and configured

Document setup and tuning parameters for repeatable deployment

Location: Irwindale and Sylmar, CA (on-site )

Duration: 2–5 days (spot project)
