Location: Hybrid – select onsite work in Howard and Montgomery Counties is expected
Time Commitment: 20 hours/week

Compensation: $20–$25/hour or commensurate with qualifications
🌟 About the Internship
We’re seeking a driven and creative Digital Marketing Intern to support the growth of mission-driven startups working across healthcare and technology. This role is ideal for students in their final year of undergraduate study or currently enrolled in a master’s program who want to apply their academic knowledge in a dynamic, real-world setting. You’ll gain hands-on experience in digital strategy, content creation, and analytics while contributing to campaigns that promote innovation, accessibility, and impact in both sectors.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
- Plan, create, schedule content across digital platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, X, etc.)
- Support email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and audience segmentation
- Convey “mission moments” through compelling storytelling—highlighting impact, values, and real-world outcomes
- Conduct keyword research and help optimize website content for SEO
- Monitor campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, LinkedIn ads, or HubSpot
- Research digital trends, competitors, use of agentic AI and audience behavior to inform strategy
- Help maintain and update website/blog content to ensure brand consistency
- Tailor messaging for diverse audiences, including clinicians, government health agencies, patients, families, health technologists, and other community stakeholders
🎓 Qualifications
- Upper-level undergraduate or current graduate student in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills and ability to shape campaigns for maximum reach
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools (e.g., Canva, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Google Ads, LinkedIn)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
- Bonus: experience with video editing, graphic design, or CRM platforms
- Interest in healthcare, technology, or social impact startups is a plus
