Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking External Civil Rights Specialist 4 to serve as an ADA and Title VI Compliance Specialist in Vancouver, WA. Under the administrative direction of the Interstate Bridge Replacement (IBR) Program's Assistant Director of Civil Rights & Equity, the ADA and Title VI Compliance Specialist is the program’s subject matter expert on compliance with Title VI, Environmental Justice (EJ), Limited English Proficiency (LEP), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This position develops and implements policies, plans, and procedures to ensure all IBR Program activities, services, and construction impacts comply with state and federal Civil Rights laws and provide fair treatment for all communities. In this role, you will provide guidance and oversight to agencies, consultants, contractors, and other partners to ensure meaningful engagement, accessibility, and avoidance of different or unequal impacts. A strong candidate will demonstrate expertise in civil rights compliance, program management, accessibility standards, and the ability to resolve complex compliance issues while fostering inclusive and fair outcomes.
