2026 Summer Financial Analyst Intern

ELFI, a division of SouthEast Bank ("Bank"), is hiring a Financial Analyst Intern for summer 2026 in its Hoboken, New Jersey office. ELFI encompasses the Bank's high growth consumer lending businesses. This is an opportunity to join the Bank's fast paced, state-of-the-art technology-based consumer lending business as a Financial Analyst Intern and gain some real world experience. Our management team consists of former Wall Street senior executives with Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Structured Finance, Sales and Trading backgrounds. We are looking for students on track to graduate in May/June 2027. We provide the opportunity to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment that focuses on mentorship. Candidates must possess strong analytical and modeling skills and be majoring in quantitative disciplines such as Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Business Analytics, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior team members with financial analyses of ELFI product lines and partnerships
  • Develop presentations utilizing Power Point for business partners, capital markets participants, investors and rating agencies
  • Assist team with execution of financial market transactions including loan sales, capital markets financings, portfolio hedging and warehouse financings
  • Develop financial models utilizing Excel
  • Develop portfolio analytics and performance metrics
  • Perform daily and weekly operational reporting and analysis on ELFI competitors and business development partnerships
  • Develop and pitch a business idea to senior management
  • Assist team with new product development

Qualifications:

  • Be working on Bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline a plus
  • Financial modeling and quantitative analysis coursework
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and able to complete work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • High level of curiosity for learning new skills and products/programs
