Graphic Design Intern

Our New York Fine Fragrance team is on the lookout for a Graphic Design intern — someone with a deep passion for aesthetics and art direction, curiosity for fine fragrance, and the vision to translate trends into unforgettable olfactive experiences.

At IFF, we do more than create scents—we shape emotions, memories, and possibilities of product and fragrance interactions. It’s where strategy meets artistry, and where your ideas can truly leave a mark.

If you’re ready to craft what the world will feel next — and lead with curiosity, heart, creativity and purpose — we’d love to meet you!

Key responsibilities encompass the following, among others:

  • Provide visual and creative expertise in the form of presentation, videos,
newsletters, brochures, kits, conferences and handouts.
  • Research and translate brand identity and essence for the development of
concepts, templates, packaging, and conference/event design.
  • Design original layouts and artwork pages ready for print or for electronic distribution.
  • Present innovative solutions to design briefs within the constraints of cost
    and time.
  • Develop client-based solutions that are both trend-driven and deeply rooted
in the brand’s DNA. This role encompasses art direction, creative strategy,
and concept development to ensure compelling and innovative storytelling
    across all touchpoints.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, and
product development, to bring visionary ideas to life while maintaining
    brand consistency.
  • Oversee the conceptualization and execution of creative content tailored to
each client’s unique identity, with the goal of enhancing brand positioning
    and driving market success.
  • Partner with prestigious luxury brands to craft distinctive olfactive
narratives and visually engaging strategies that resonate with consumers.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must be pursuing a degree in Graphic Design or related field.
  • Applicants must provide a work portfolio. Work samples are required for consideration.
  • Interest for fragrance, art, culture, fashion and beauty markets.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Strong interest in emerging trends.
  • Must be available to come into our NYC office at least 2 full days a week, for a three month commitment.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud softwares including: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. After Effects is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
  • Must work well in a fast paced environment.
