Production Assistant

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Athletics is seeking enthusiastic and motivated students to join our dynamic sports production team as a Production Assistant. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in live sports broadcasting, with opportunities to work on camera operations, replay systems, and graphics machines. All broadcasts will be aired on ESPN+ and may include additional one-off, campus events. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in sports media and production.

 

**Responsibilities:**  

- Assist with on-site sports production for live broadcasts on ESPN+.  

- Operate camera equipment to capture high-quality footage during athletic events.  

- Run replay systems to ensure accurate and timely playback for broadcasts.  

- Manage graphics machines to display scores, player stats, and other visual elements.  

- Support setup and breakdown of production equipment for home games and select campus events.  

- Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth execution of live broadcasts.  

 

**Qualifications:**  

- Strong interest in sports media, broadcasting, or video production.  

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, live production environment.  

- Basic technical aptitude and willingness to learn camera, replay, and graphics systems (training provided).  

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.  

- Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and irregular hours based on game schedules.  

- Prior experience in video production or media is a plus but not required.  

 

**Requirements:**  

- Reliable transportation to and from on-campus event locations.  

- Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 25 lbs) as needed for setup and breakdown.  

 

**Compensation:**  

- $10/hr.  

- Valuable hands-on experience in live sports production and exposure to ESPN+ broadcasts.  

 

**Work Environment:**  

This position involves working at various athletic venues on campus and occasionally at other university event locations. Also involves working downtown at the Hillard Center and Water's Edge Park for certain sports. The role requires flexibility to work during mornings, evenings and weekends, depending on the athletic event schedule.
