2026 Summer Intern - Private Banking


Job Description

CIBC’s Summer Internship Program is a dynamic, 10-week experience (June through August) designed to complement your academic training and support your career aspirations. Who You Are

3.0 GPA minimum

Exceptional interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask

To be eligible for this position, you must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree, with an expected graduation date between June 2027 and June 2028.

You are currently enrolled in a degree or diploma program in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field.

 

How You’ll Succeed

Support Client-Facing Teams: Assist in day-to-day operations of retail and digital banking, including account management, client onboarding, and service delivery.

Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze client data and banking trends to support business decisions and improve the client experience.

Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and service quality.

Client Engagement: Help prepare presentations, reports, and digital content to support client meetings and outreach initiatives.

Market Research: Conduct research on digital banking trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to inform business strategies.

Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks and special projects to support the broader team and business objectives.

Learning & Networking: Engage in learning sessions, mentorship, and networking opportunities to broaden your understanding of retail and digital banking.

 

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package.  This role has an expected hourly rate of $25.00 per hour for the State of Illinois market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.
