Video Production and Marketing support- Paid, Part-Time Work- Student Program (Wayne, PA) (apply at usli.com/students)

The USLI Student Program connects students to a variety of opportunities at our company. We employ around 220 college students year-round and approximately 240 during the summer. Our goal is to provide students with meaningful work experiences that prepare them for their next professional step, as well as the chance to explore a career in the insurance industry.

We require our students to be enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester at a 2- or 4-year college/university. They must be available to work at least 12 hours each week and at least 4 hours on any given day that they are choosing to work. Please be aware that this position requires the individual to work in-office year-round. 

We are looking for students to work with our Video Production/Marketing, year-round.

  • Basic production knowledge – familiarity with camera, lighting, and audio equipment, or eagerness to learn
  • Editing proficiency – comfortable with Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects a plus)
  • Strong attention to visual and audio detail
  • Problem-solving mindset and adaptability
  • Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Awareness of marketing
  • Understanding of social media video trends (preferred)

What are the essential functions of the student?

The student will work as part of our three-person video team, assisting with both production and post-production projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting on-set filming, including setup and breakdown of equipment
  • Assisting with audio recording, lighting, and camera operation
  • Filming internal and external events as needed
  • Contributing to post-production through editing, graphics, and exporting videos
  • Helping produce content for marketing, internal communications, wellness programming (e.g., Sláinte workout videos), and social media initiatives

Post-production work will range from basic editing (such as splicing and formatting presentations) to more advanced storytelling edits based on skill and experience level.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assisting with video asset management and database organization
  • Supporting video and social media analytics reporting
  • Researching industry trends, creative video ideas, and new tools to enhance content production

Additional Information / Notes

Students should be majoring in Digital Communications, Video Production, Marketing, Communications, or Video Journalism, or a closely related field.
Year-round availability is preferred due to the hands-on nature of training and project continuity.
