About the RoleWe’re looking for a Summer Intern - IT Program Management: OKR Framework & Delivery Excellence on the IT Team to help us expand what’s possible for patients with serious diseases. In this role, you’ll be reporting to the Sr Director, Information Technology Program Management.

The Insmed Summer Internship Program gives students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a corporate environment in the pharmaceutical industry, receive mentoring from highly skilled professionals, and work on dynamic team projects. Our 2026 Summer Intern program is a full-time (40 hours per week), paid internship. The internship may present opportunities for rotational assignments within the function, and the intern will be assigned goals and objectives that will support the strategic business plan of the company.What You'll Do

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to help support the IT PMO by supporting program maturity and capabilities. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to how success is measured across IT programs, influencing governance, visibility, and value realization. You’ll collaborate with program managers, IT leadership, and cross-functional teams to establish measurable goals, standardize reporting, and help define what success looks like at each phase of the program lifecycle. 

 

You'll also:

  • Map current program management processes and identify key success indicators for each stage (initiation, planning, execution, closure). 
  • Track indicators such as delivery milestones, budget variance and resource utilization 
  • Support the creation of dashboards, scorecards, and tracking mechanisms to monitor progress against defined objectives. 
  • Document best practices and assist in building templates, guides, and toolkits for program performance management. 
  • Track dependencies and integration points between projects; flag potential conflicts or schedule risks 
  • Assist in building a knowledge repository of lessons learned and KPIs 
  • Analyze data and provide insights on trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities within IT project delivery. 

Who You Are

You are a current student pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or advanced level degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Management, Project Management or a related field 

You are or you have: 

  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills (verbal and written).    
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. 
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Smartsheet, Jira, or Power BI a plus. 
  • Ability to interact successfully in a dynamic and culturally diverse workplace. 
  • Familiarity with OKRs, KPIs, or other performance management frameworks preferred. 

Where You'll Work

 

This is a hybrid role based out of our Bridgewater, NJ office. You’ll work remotely most of the time, with in-person collaboration when it matters most.
