Software Development Intern - Vendor Portal Project (Immediate Start)
Overview:
Myti is a Burlington-based e-commerce startup reimagining how communities shop local. Our platform connects independent Vermont retailers with nearby customers through a shared online marketplace and local delivery network — helping small shops compete in a digital economy dominated by big-box retailers.
We’re looking for an intern to support the development of our new Vendor Portal, a unified interface where shop owners can manage inventory, upload products, and receive purchase orders directly from Myti. The portal will help streamline operations across dozens of independent retailers using systems like Shopify, BigCommerce, Square, and WooCommerce.
Scope of Work:
The intern will help design and prototype the vendor portal and its core integrations. Key responsibilities include:
• Building an intuitive dashboard for inventory sync, product uploads, and PO generation.
• Designing a data model for consistent product and inventory management across platforms.
• Implementing APIs or plug-ins to connect Myti with external vendor systems (e.g., Shopify API).
• Testing real-world vendor workflows to ensure smooth data flow and error handling.
• Delivering documentation and mockups for future integration with Myti’s production environment.
Skills/Tech:
Full-stack or back-end development, API design, SQL databases, product management tools. Experience with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) is a plus.
Impact:
This project will dramatically reduce friction for local shops, making it easier for independent retailers to sell through Myti and compete online at scale.
Time Commitment:
10–20 hours per week minimum (part-time, flexible schedule, hybrid).
Compensation: $15–$18/hour, based on experience.
Start Date: Immediate.
