Music Journalist / Writer Internship

The {C} Magazine is looking for passionate, music-savvy college students to join our editorial team as Music Journalist / Writer Interns. This internship is ideal for students studying journalism, communications, music business, media, or related fields who want hands-on experience covering the music industry. Interns will have the opportunity to write about artists, genres, trends, and cultural movements shaping the sound of today and tomorrow. 

 

As a Music Journalist Intern, you will:

Research, pitch, and write music-focused stories for both print and digital platforms.

Conduct interviews with artists, producers, DJs, and industry professionals.

Cover live shows, album releases, music festivals, and industry events (virtual or in person).

Write reviews, profiles, opinion pieces, and cultural analyses on emerging and established artists.

Collaborate with editors and photographers to produce multimedia content.

Stay informed about music trends across genres, from mainstream to underground scenes.

Ensure writing aligns with The {C} Magazine’s tone — bold, creative, and culturally attuned.

 

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a college or university program (Journalism, Communications, Music, Media Studies, or related field).

Must be eligible to receive academic credit for the internship.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Access to reliable internet and writing tools (Google Docs, Word, etc.).

Must be passionate about covering music from a lifestyle, creative, and cultural lens.
