Intern Position

 

EM Structural is looking for a qualified candidates who are interested in an intern position in our Arlington, VA office. Our office is located in the Clarendon district, right across from the metro.  You can visit our website to see some of our projects.

 

As a interning engineer, you will be exposed to all phases of the building process from design development through construction administration. You will work with Project Engineers and Project Managers to perform tasks including structural designs for wood, steel, concrete (mild and post-tensioned), and masonry, construction document review, and construction site visits.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Planning to obtain their Master’s Degree with a structural focus.
  • Have a minimum 3.5 GPA (undergraduate) and 3.0 GPA (graduate)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task.
  • Proficient drafting and modeling in Revit.
  • Knowledge in structural analysis software is preferred (Bentley Systems software, ETABS, ENERCALC, ect.).
