Position Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and motivated cryostat technician to support our technical operations. This role will report directly to our CTO and handle cryostat maintenance, operation, and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and Maintain cryostat systems
- Prepare and integrate electronics for low temperature testing
- Maintain RF wiring, electronics, and test equipment for use with cryostat
- Perform low temperature microwave calibration and testing
- Perform vacuum pumping and leak detection when needed
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with cryostats and dilution refrigeration systems
- Strong mechanical skills for assembling cryostats and vacuum systems
- Ability to read and create wiring diagrams, equipment schematics, and experimental protocols
- Knowledge of vacuum technology, cryogenic safety, and high-pressure gas handling
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with VNAs spectrum analyzers, and microwave calibration
- Experience with superconducting quantum devices (qubits, amplifiers, SQUIDs, etc.)
- Experience with thermal modeling and heat load management
- Experience with parametric devices
