Partnerships and Programs Intern
Overview:
Ariventures Abroad is seeking a highly motivated and organized junior intern to support our nonprofit’s study abroad and fellowship programs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about international education, nonprofit development, and community-building. You will play a key role in growing our university and organizational partnerships, supporting our fundraising initiatives, and serving as a liaison between the ACM Fellowship cohort and the Ariventures Abroad team.

You see projects through to completion, ensuring quality and attention to detail at every step, while skillfully juggling multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partnership Development (40%)
- Identify and reach out to study abroad offices, faculty, and nonprofit allies for long-term collaboration
- Support formalization of new partnerships through proposals, email drafts, and follow-ups
- Track partnership status and maintain outreach records
2. Fellowship & Cohort Management (25%)Act as the primary point of contact for current ACM Fellows
- Manage communication and deadlines for cohort deliverables
- Coordinate internal updates and gather content for fellow highlights
3. Advisory Council & Board Support (15%)
- Assist in scheduling and preparing materials for board and advisory council meetings
- Take meeting notes, track action items, and follow up with stakeholders as needed
4. Fundraising & Donor Engagement (20%)
- Support donor engagement through research and communication materials
- Assist with the coordination of fundraising campaigns, including social media and email outreach
- Help identify new donor or sponsor opportunities (e.g., in-kind gifts, corporate sponsors)
Ideal Candidate Profile
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- A strong communicator with excellent organizational and follow-up skills. You communicate early and often, especially about progress, potential roadblocks, and successes.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects independently
- Takes initiative - identifies problems and brings thoughtful solutions
- Comfortable working autonomously and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
- Passionate about study abroad, access to education, and nonprofit impact
- Eager to learn and comfortable using (or quickly learning) tools like Microsoft Teams, Canva, and HubSpot
- Prior study abroad or international programs experience preferred
Internship Details:
$1500 Stipend for two semesters
Eligible for class credit
Estimated 15 hours per week
Flexible schedule with some standing meetings
All work must be original; AI tools can be used for brainstorming only
Preference given to candidates who can commit through the full academic year
