Education and Curriculum Intern
This role focuses on designing and implementing tagging systems and educational features for the SPAM Feature and Field Guide, ensuring they align with game mechanics and enhance player learning. By collaborating with educators, game studios, and internal teams, the position ensures that curriculum materials and teacher resources support classroom use across subjects and grade levels. The role is central to integrating educational goals with gameplay, creating impactful learning pathways, and aligning content with standards and assessments.

Location and Work Environment
This is a fully remote position, allowing you the flexibility to work from home or another suitable location. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Reliable Internet Connection: A stable high-speed internet connection (minimum 20 Mbps) is required for video conferencing and accessing company tools.
- Equipment: You should have access to a reliable computer with a webcam and a headset. If needed, the company can provide additional equipment to support your work.
- Workspace: A quiet, distraction-free workspace is essential for meetings and focused work.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the Curriculum Intern includes:
- Collaborate with the education, creative, and production teams to design, implement, and refine an effective tagging system, ensuring alignment with game mechanics and educational goals.
- Select and tag materials, creating a searchable database of resources categorized by content, type, and game relevance to enhance learning experiences.
- Contribute conceptual ideas to the system and potentially the user interface.
- Working with our game studio partners to ensure the educational features are effectively executed through the creation of relevant documents.
- Working with the business and research team, to build appropriate curriculum and teacher resources. This also includes selecting content across subjects to include in game depending on the standards they relate to and the assessments the content would support.
- Working with educators to build and test materials they would like to support Agents of Influence in a variety of classrooms ranging from ELA to CTE.
- Build ‘pathways’ for teachers to use Agents of Influence based on time, subject and grade.
- Attend meetings led by the Producer
Compensation and Benefits
This is an unpaid internship. There is potential to grow into a paid role.
