Operations & Quality Intern

Duration: 10-week Summer Internship

 

About the Role
As an Operations & Quality Intern, you’ll support the implementation of our Quality Management System for new business launches. You’ll gain hands-on experience with the foundational tools and processes that ensure world-class operational performance, learning how new production lines, training cells, and quality controls are established before customer go-live.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing Process Flows, PFMEA, and Standard Work Instructions to support new business launches.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new systems and workflows.
  • Help create and organize training materials and assist in training cell setup.
  • Participate in process audits to verify readiness and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and quality teams to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Document lessons learned and support the continuous improvement of launch procedures.

 

What You’ll Learn

  • End-to-end understanding of how large-scale operations prepare for new business launches.
  • Practical application of Quality Management System (QMS) tools such as PFMEA and process mapping.
  • Exposure to Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies in a global logistics environment.
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver measurable process improvements.

 

Who We’re Looking For

  • Students pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with process mapping, data analysis, or quality systems is a plus.
