Intern for Congressman Jamie Raskin! 

Congressman Jamie Raskin proudly represents Maryland’s 8th Congressional District (MD08) and is seeking part-time/full-time interns for the Spring 2026 Semester for his DC and District offices. The hours are flexible to accommodate students' hectic course schedules , but generally run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In terms of compensation, we are willing to work with applicants on either receiving a monthly stipend or academic credit. Interested candidates can submit their application with a resume and cover letter by November 3, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. through our website. Constituents will be given priority when considering applications. You can find more information on what to expect in each office below. 

District Office: Interns will gain invaluable work experience and knowledge of the 8th District and the constituent services process. Interns' responsibilities will vary. They may be asked to answer phones, conduct research, attend community events, draft constituent correspondence, or assist with various constituent casework. As a result, interns will learn about the many functions of a district office.  

DC Office: Interns will gain invaluable work experience and knowledge of Congress and the legislative process. Interns' responsibilities will vary. They may be asked to answer phones, research legislation for the Member and legislative staff, attend hearings and briefings, assist the communications team, and lead U.S. Capitol tours. As a result, interns will learn about the many functions of a congressional office.
