Entry-Level Database Administrator

Position Description:

As an Entry-Level Database Administrator, you will be trained to support and manage enterprise-grade database environments across Oracle and Open-Source platforms.

 

 Responsibilities:

 • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle and OpenSource databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL)

 • Monitor database performance and optimize queries

 • Assist in configuring Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN

 • Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures

 • Troubleshoot database issues including outages and performance degradation

 • Manage user roles, privileges, and database security

 • Perform upgrades, patching, and migrations

 • Collaborate with developers to enhance database scalability

 • Document technical procedures and maintain system records

 

 Requirements:

 • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field

 • Basic understanding of database concepts and SQL

 • Exposure to Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar technologies

 • Familiarity with scripting (PL/SQL, Bash, Python) is a plus
