Beloved Community - Administrative Support
The One Utah Service Fellowship is an AmeriCorps program that provides opportunities for young adults to participate in sustainable and high-impact service, addressing the critical priorities and needs in Utah while supporting debt-free pathways to higher education.
Beloved Community is dedicated to fostering community connection and economic empowerment throughout our local communities through Community Economic Development. The One Utah Service Fellowship with Beloved Community offers opportunities for young adults to engage in meaningful service while supporting the development and implementation of community-centered initiatives. This fellowship will offer a dynamic, hands-on experience where fellows will provide impactful contributions towards the planning and execution of successful community-centered programming. Fellows will contribute to event coordination of the annual Utah MLK Day Celebration and Salt Lake Juneteenth Celebration events, community engagement, volunteer support and operational capacity-building to enrich the community experiences facilitated by Beloved Community.
Administrative Support Fellow
The Administrative Support Fellow will work to support the operational capacity of Beloved Community. This role will help ensure smooth administrative processes in the implementation of organizational initiatives through effective communication, planning, coordination, and implementation.
Job Summary:
- This position averages 30 hours per week for 9 months (hours may increase or decrease to accommodate program needs, such as during training or the week of major events, etc.) - Minimum of 1200 hours
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing administrative and logistical support -
Assisting with scheduling, meeting coordination, note-taking, and email communications
- Managing and organizing files, registration lists, and volunteer rosters
- Supporting community outreach and partner engagement
- Collecting data, attendance records, and feedback for reporting and evaluation
- Coordinating with partners, volunteers, and community members
- Creating event materials, participant resources, social media and web content
- Tracking expenses, supplies, and inventory
- Community outreach at external events - Volunteer recruitment and coordination
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be 17 years of age or older
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Pass State & Federal background checks
- Be a U.S. Citizen, National, or Legal Permanent Resident
Member benefits and details:
- Fellow will receive a living allowance twice monthly of $705.88
- Upon completion, successful fellows earn an education award of $5,176.50 which can be used for education costs up to cost of attendance or for eligible student loan repayment
- Fellows may qualify for loan deferment and interest forbearance on federally- guaranteed student loans, with potential interest repayment while serving
