Portfolio Management Intern:
Job Description:
- Assist the portfolio asset management team on special situations, including restructuring analysis and financial modeling, identifying value creation opportunities in challenged investments, and supporting companies through operational transitions
- Support process improvement initiatives and strategic projects at portfolio companies, including operational assessments and value creation plans
- Help develop, review, and maintain financial models, portfolio company performance reviews, industry analyses, and downside/recovery scenarios for presentation to senior management
- Prepare materials for investment committee memos, investor presentations, and lender reporting
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects ranging from internal dashboards to external marketing materials
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field with strong academic performance (minimum 3.5 GPA)
- Genuine enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity and excitement for unconventional problem-solving, navigating unique investment challenges, and contributing to a best-in-class platform
- Demonstrated ability to build, analyze, and interpret financial information and credit metrics
- Coursework or experience in accounting, corporate finance, and financial statement analysis strongly preferred
- Prior internship experience in investment banking, private equity, credit analysis, or restructuring advisory is a plus
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling), PowerPoint (investment presentations), and Word
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to synthesize information clearly
- Self-motivated team player with entrepreneurial mindset, high integrity, and strong work ethic
