Database and Development Operations Assistant
The Worcester Art Museum is hiring a Database and Development Operations Assistant to support the essential behind-the-scenes functions that keep our fundraising and membership efforts running smoothly. This 32 hour, full-time, on-site role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, systems, processes, and who finds satisfaction in maintaining accuracy and consistency across tasks.
Reporting to the Database and Development Operations Manager, the Assistant will be responsible for entering donations and memberships into our database, generating reports, preparing acknowledgments, and managing membership renewals. The role requires strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort with database systems—experience with Altru or Blackbaud is preferred. Candidates should be organized, efficient, and capable of managing multiple tasks independently while communicating clearly with colleagues across departments.
This position plays a key role in ensuring that donor and member records are accurate and up to date, which directly supports financial reporting, donor stewardship, and board-level communications. The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, is comfortable with routine tasks, and is motivated by the impact their work has on the broader organization. While the role is primarily administrative, it also offers opportunities to support database maintenance and contribute to process improvements.
