Position Overview

We are seeking a talented, motivated, and design-forward Graphic Design Intern to support our social media, content, and executive branding teams. This is a 20 hours/week role. The intern will create high-impact visuals—social media quote cards, infographics, GIFs, carousels, and banner images—for executive content. Deliverables should adhere to a 48-hour turnaround expectation.

Key Responsibilities

Receive raw video footage (webcasts, interviews, events, internal recordings) and edit into social media clips (e.g., 15s, 30s, 60s segments)
 

Use AI tools like Opus (or similar) to assist with efficient clipping, transitions, and automated suggestions
 

Add captions / subtitles, on-screen text, and graphical overlays consistent with brand guidelines
 

Format and export videos for different platforms (LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, etc.), ensuring correct aspect ratios, durations, and specs
 

Work closely with the social media team to identify which moments to highlight, optimize for engagement, and adapt messaging

Maintain an organized library of video assets, clips, and projects

Ensure all deliverables meet brand, quality, and compliance standards

Meet deadlines consistently (48-hour turnaround is expected) and manage workflow across multiple parallel projects
 

Participate in periodic content planning sessions, reviewing performance of video clips, and iterating based on feedback
 

Qualifications & Skills

Required / Must-Have:

Proficiency (or eagerness to learn quickly) in video editing tools and workflows
 

Prior experience (academic, personal, or freelance) editing short video clips

Strong attention to detail and a good eye for pacing, framing, and visual storytelling

Basic understanding of captioning & subtitle workflows
 

Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
 

Good communication skills and openness to feedback
 

Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative
 

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

Familiarity with AI-assisted video editing tools (e.g. Opus or others)
 

Experience or interest in social media best practices, trends, and formats

Basic knowledge of motion graphics, animation, or After Effects

Understanding of brand consistency, fonts, color, and design standards

Logistics & Compensation

Schedule: Approx. 20 hours/week (flexible with semester schedules)
Compensation: $600/month
Turnaround Expectation: 48 hours per deliverable
Remote or hybrid (depending on location/team preferences)
Occasional team meetings or check-ins may be required (virtual or in person)
Internship duration: ideally 3–6 months (or adjustable depending on candidate’s availability)
