Begin your career working with some of the top civil engineering experts in the industry. Burgess & Niple is looking for a full time, Water & Wastewater Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in Evansville for the summer of 2026.

B&N Civil Engineering Intern, Water/Wastewater (W/WW) Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate and learn from experienced professional engineers
  • You will gain some exposure in water/wastewater projects. Projects could include water transmission mains, sanitary sewers, pump stations, and water/wastewater treatment plants
  • Learn drafting skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Perform engineering related tasks utilizing Microsoft office software, assist with field activities, and routine office responsibilities

 

Skills & Qualifications:

 

  • Current student in good academic standing pursuing a degree in engineering (civil preferred) from an ABET accredited college or university
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Word
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work in a team setting
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
