Business Development Intern (Work-Study)
This position is open only to students who qualify for federal or state work-study.
As a Business Development Intern at Folio, you’ll help grow partnerships with universities, employers, and organizations that connect students to meaningful, career-aligned work opportunities. You’ll assist in outreach, research, and relationship management that support Folio’s mission to make professional experience accessible to all students.
This role is ideal for students interested in business, marketing, or communications who want to gain hands-on experience in sales operations, partnership development, and strategic outreach within a fast-growing education technology company.
What You’ll Do
Research and identify potential university, employer, and community partners.
Support the development of outreach lists, proposals, and presentations.
Track communications and partnership data in CRM or spreadsheet tools.
Assist with email campaigns, meeting preparation, and follow-up documentation.
Collaborate with the operations, marketing, and product teams to improve partner engagement.

Qualifications
Must be eligible for federal or state work-study funding.
Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
Familiarity with spreadsheets, CRM systems, or outreach tools is a plus.
