Data Analyst Intern

This position is open only to students who qualify for federal or state work-study.

 

As a Data Analyst Intern at Folio, you’ll play a key role in helping us understand how students use our platform and how we can better connect them to meaningful, career-aligned opportunities. You’ll work with real product, survey, and engagement data to uncover insights that shape our programs, partnerships, and platform experience.

This position is perfect for students who want to apply their coursework in data science, statistics, or analytics to real-world projects that create measurable impact in education and workforce development.

 

What You’ll Do

Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources, including surveys, user activity, and internal databases.

Build visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Support the development of data-driven reports for university and employer partners.

Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to identify trends and inform decision-making.

Help test and evaluate new data pipelines, tools, and methods.

Qualifications

Must be eligible for federal or state work-study funding.

Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.

Familiarity with at least one data analysis tool or language (e.g., Python, R, SQL, or Excel).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Curiosity about how data can drive equity and opportunity in higher education.
