Assistant Professor, Instruction, Computer Information Systems
Duties: The Department of Computer Science invites applications for a full-time, nine-month renewable non-tenure track faculty position beginning in Fall 2026. The primary responsibility of this role is teaching introductory and advanced courses in the networking/cybersecurity degree options, for a total of 24 credit hours per academic year.
Other responsibilities include engaging in professional development, participating in student recruitment and events, as well as providing service to the program area, department, college, university, and the community.
Required: A master's degree in any computing discipline such as Computer Science, Computer Information Systems/Technology or a related field from an accredited institution is required at the start of employment.
Preferred: A PhD in any computing discipline such as Computer Science, Computer Information Systems/Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated ability to teach courses that use equipment, software, and tools in one or more areas of Networking and Cybersecurity, including (but not limited to) Web Security, Computer/Network Security, Information Assurance, Ethical Hacking, Incident Response, and Database Security.
Any relevant industry certifications, especially at the advanced level, such as CCNP, CEH or CISSP.
