About Full Distance Physical Therapy and Wellness

At Full Distance, we embrace compassionate, client-centered care that honors each individual throughout their wellness journey. Our mission is to provide personalized, integrative therapy in a warm and supportive environment, empowering clients to thrive. Our diverse team of integrative professionals, including PTs, PTAs, OTs, massage therapists, nutrition coaches, fitness instructors, and personal trainers, collaborate under the belief that “it takes a village” to deliver comprehensive, meaningful care.

As a Physical Therapist with Full Distance, you will play a vital role in this team, offering thoughtful, one-on-one care in our outpatient clinic and contributing to a collaborative, wellness-focused atmosphere. This position also offers opportunities for growth in pelvic health, including support for credentialing and continuing education. You’ll work closely with a PTA currently pursuing pelvic health certification, making this an excellent environment for those looking to deepen or begin their journey in pelvic health therapy.

In alignment with Full Distance’s holistic philosophy, the Physical Therapist will:

  • Deliver personalized physical therapy care to clients in our clinic, guided by individualized plans of care.

  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, physicians, and other wellness professionals to ensure a seamless and supportive care experience for every client.
  • Use compassionate communication to educate clients, caregivers, and families, helping them integrate therapy practices into their daily lives for long-term wellness.
  • Cultivate a therapeutic environment of kindness, respect, and dignity, guided by the belief that “Recognize the Other Person is You” —a core value that centers compassion in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or equivalent.
  • Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Virginia (proof of licensure required).
  • Two years of experience preferred, though a deep alignment with our values and a willingness to learn is equally important.
  • Current CPR certification and a commitment to continued education and growth in holistic, integrative care.
  • Strong understanding and adherence to HIPAA and patient privacy regulations.

Core Competencies

  • Deliver compassionate, holistic physical therapy services aimed at helping clients reach their optimal physical and emotional well-being.
  • Exercise independent judgment and initiative in treatment planning and execution, always seeking ways to grow in your practice and exceed client expectations.
  • Collaborate meaningfully with other wellness professionals, physicians, and caregivers to create comprehensive and individualized care plans.
  • Document client progress and treatment outcomes with care and attention, always striving for clarity and thoroughness in client reports.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, responding to client needs in real-time and adjusting plans when necessary to foster true healing.
