Closing Teacher Job description

About us

King's Kids Learning Center is a Christ-centered school-aged (TK-6th) child care center. We offer before- and after-school care and transportation to and from 9 local public schools.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a group of 4th-6th grade students and a staff aide, maintaining ratios at all times
  • Assist with homework 
  • Plan and lead group activities related to the Center themes
  • Build and encourage positive relationships 
  • Follow cleaning/disinfecting guidelines 
  • Secure the center grounds/ ensure safety protocols are being followed

Requirements include:

  • Aged 18+
  • 12 ECE (Early Childhood Education) credits (or if you are currently a student, 6 ECE credits along with 6 months work experience in a classroom) OR at least one year of previous childcare/teaching/in-classroom experience (CDA’s or other Teaching Credentials accepted)
  • Clear a Livescan background check
  • Pass a DOJ/FBI/CACI background check
  • Pass a health screening and have a negative TB test
  • Up-to date Tdap and MMR immunizations
  • Pediatric CPR/first Aid (preferred)

Job Type: Part-time (15-25 hours a week)

Salary: starts at $18/hour (depending upon qualifications/experience)
