Fall/Winter Intern - Content & Social  (LA or NYC)

Part-time | 10–15 hours/week | Hybrid/Local Only

About via
via is a social exploration platform reimagining how people connect through the places they love. We turn missed connections into meet-cutes — helping people find friendship, romance, and community by leaving digital profiles at physical locations. We’re an early-stage startup operating at the intersection of social tech, storytelling, and human connection.

About the Role
We’re looking for a creative, self-starter intern to join our small team this fall/winter to help bring via’s brand to life across social and content. You’ll work directly with our founder (Via) and creative director on everything from social campaigns to short-form video edits, storytelling concepts, and live event recaps.

We’re open to someone who takes initiative and wants to make the role their own. This is a chance to get hands-on experience inside a fast-moving startup, and for the right person, it could evolve into a longer-term growth position.

What You’ll Do

  • Brainstorm, capture, and edit photo and video content for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms
  • Assist in concepting and scripting short-form video campaigns
  • Support live events and activations (occasional evenings) with content coverage
  • Manage social calendars, draft captions, and organize media assets
  • Edit short-form videos (Reels/TikToks) with an eye for trend-driven storytelling
  • Collaborate on content strategy and help test new creative formats
  • Track social trends, competitor content, and new platform features
  • Occasionally help with light design (Canva/Figma/CapCut experience a plus)

What We’re Looking For

  • Based in Los Angeles or New York City (local availability required)
  • Available 10–15 hours/week (likely 10 to start)
  • Strong understanding of current social media trends and editing tools (CapCut, Adobe).
  • Great visual eye and storytelling instinct
  • Interest in the tech, social, and cultural landscape
  • A reliable, new-ish phone/computer capable of high-quality content capture/editting
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to grow with a small, creative team

Perks

  • Hands-on mentorship from our founder and creative director
  • Flexible schedule around school or other commitments
  • Opportunity to shape a new category in social tech
