Social Media Winter Intern

The Morgan Conservatory is seeking a Winter Social Media Intern to help us expand our digital presence and connect with our community — all while staying true to The Morgan’s established voice and brand identity. This is a paid internship ($11/hr, ~12 hrs/week) running February through March 2026 (flexible start and end dates).


 

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll take initiative and bring fresh ideas to our social platforms, while building systems to make our outreach sustainable. 

You will:

  • Create and implement a social media calendar and posting schedule
  • Design and draft posts that reflect The Morgan’s brand voice and visual style
  • Develop templates for recurring campaigns (events, residencies, workshops, exhibitions)
  • Curate and edit images, video, and stories that highlight our programs and artists
  • Coordinate and schedule content across platforms to maximize reach
  • Engage and respond to followers, fostering community conversations
  • Research and benchmark best practices for arts/cultural social media
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to recommend improvements

     

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong initiative and ability to self-start projects with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram and Facebook)
  • Ability to adapt designs and messaging to stay consistent with The Morgan’s branding
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Willingness to experiment, iterate, and learn from data
  • Interest in art, papermaking, or cultural nonprofits is a bonus

Logistics

  • Duration: February- March 2026- 6 weeks (flexible start and end dates).
  • Hours: 12 hrs/week (between Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.)
