Communications Intern
Interested in using your skills in communications and social media to change the world--or at least one corner of it? Here's your chance!
Due to an illness in our intern team, our Washington DC-based nonprofit organization, Hands Along the Nile Development Services (HANDS), is looking for an intern for the remainder of the semester to help us manage our social media presence. Not only will you get to develop your communications skills in a professional setting, but you will also be contributing to bringing hope to vulnerable communities in the most populous country in the Middle East: Egypt.
HANDS is a non-profit organization that focuses on improving the quality of life for the people of Egypt through economic empowerment and intercultural bridge-building. We work directly with local organizations in Egypt on projects that include vocational training, entrepreneurship coaching, and microloans. HANDS also works closely with US-based partners such as: the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the United Nations, USAID, the Ford Foundation, and the U.S. State Department.
We are looking for a talented communications intern to help enhance our social media posts. If you have experience and skills with Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, we'd be thrilled to have you on our team!
Note that we are flexible on the starting and ending dates of the internship and can adjust to fit our interns' schedules. We are also open to either in-person or remote internships.
A stipend for interns is provided.
