About Avance Residency

The Avance Residency is a one-year, robust teacher preparation program for candidates in the greater Los Angeles area. We invest in and develop them to thrive, so that our students receive the highest quality education starting on day one. In Avance, teacher residents learn what to teach, how to teach it, and build strong networks of support through cohort learning, mentorship, and university programs.
