Fine Arts Instructor – Ceramics, Textiles & Visual Arts
Camp Echo Lake is seeking creative, passionate, and energetic college students to join our Fine Arts Team for Summer 2025 in the stunning Adirondack Mountains of New York! About Camp Echo Lake
Camp Echo Lake is a residential summer camp located in Warrensburg, NY (about 3 hours north of NYC). We are passionately dedicated to human development, empowering campers and staff alike to discover confidence, creativity, and connection through everything we do.
Fine Arts Positions Available
We’re hiring talented individuals with skills in:
- Ceramics & Pottery: Hand-building, wheel throwing, glazing, and kiln operation
- Textile Arts: Weaving, fabric dyeing, sewing, embroidery, or fiber design
- General Fine Arts: Painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, and more
Whether you’re an art major, an education student, or just someone who loves working with your hands — we’d love to have you bring your talents to our campers!
Responsibilities
- Teach and assist campers in your area of art specialty (ceramics, textiles, or general fine arts)
- Foster creativity and confidence through guided art projects and free expression
- Maintain a safe, organized, and inspiring studio environment
- Supervise and support campers in daily activities
- Build strong, positive relationships with campers and fellow staff
- Contribute to the overall camp community through teamwork and enthusiasm
💡 Qualifications
- Energetic, patient, and passionate about the arts
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Enjoy working with children in an outdoor setting
- Experience or coursework in art education, studio art, or related fields preferred
- Previous camp or teaching experience is a plus, but not required
- Must be available for the full camp season

Compensation
$2,500 – $3,500 for the summer contract + Travel Stipend
