Environmental Education and Outdoor Adventure Intern
The Watersmith Guild is seeking interns for the Spring and Summer of 2026 that are passionate about environmental education, conservation, and outdoor adventure. While not mandatory, candidates with interests in parks and recreation, non-profit fields, conservation, adventure sports, youth education, environmental education/science, and outdoors recreation are encouraged.
Internship Description:
If selected for this internship, you will work directly with the Executive Director of the Watersmith Guild. While specific assignments will be provided, the internship will also encourage creativity and independent project direction.
Interns will primarily assist in the following functions:
- Leading Environmental Education Workshops
- Guided adventures such as paddleboard eco tours, water sampling, tree planting, etc.
- Preparing and deploying equipment
- Developing and enhancing new curriculums
Applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
- Strong leadership skills
- Able to provide transportation to meet at a variety of locations
- Strong communication skills
- Able to assist in carrying and managing equipment
