THE POSITION:

We are currently recruiting a passionate Recovery Support Specialist to join our team.
 

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: 

  • SCHEDULE: Full-Time (35 Hour), First Shift (8:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.), Monday - Friday
  • FACILITY: River Valley Services (RVS)
  • UNIT: Wellness & Recovery Center

  • Provide coaching and guidance to assist individuals in identifying recovery goals, support networks, employment and/or educational opportunities;
  • Utilize your own lived experience as well as evidence-based Wellness Management techniques; and
  • Provide education around client rights and responsibilities, tools for recovery and management of mental health, substance use and medical issues.

 

ABOUT THE FACILITY:

River Valley Services (RVS), a community mental health center serving Middlesex County and the towns of Lyme and Old Lyme, is operated by the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS). RVS’s goal is to provide the highest quality crisis intervention, case management, and residential and clinical services to adult citizens, 18 years of age and older, who suffer from serious mental disorders and who lack the financial means to secure such services in the private sector.
