Financial Planning Intern
A career in financial services can be incredibly rewarding – and Greenspring knows that if you’re seeking a career in finance, getting hands-on experience before you graduate is paramount. Seeking an internship with an established, reputable firm to earn real-world experience and help you determine your path is an important piece of the puzzle.
We have developed a comprehensive internship program that completely dismisses the preconceived notion of an internship consisting of pushing papers and fetching coffee. We believe that it’s imperative to pass along our knowledge to the next generation of financial professionals. Our 12-week rotational program allows the opportunity for rising seniors to learn about the industry first-hand through training exercises and assisting our team with real-life scenarios.
- Throughout the internship experience, you’ll be embedded in our various departments: Retirement Plan Consulting, Financial Planning Team, Private Wealth Team, and Investment Operations.
- See, Do, Teach: Receive hands-on experience and coaching to learn our processes, have opportunities to practice and improve, then teach back and present on what you’ve learned.
- Executive Presence and Business Acumen: Understand appropriate business communications, virtual meeting etiquette, and executive presence. Attend our Interview and Resume Workshop to revise your resume and prep for future interviews and learn how to effectively use LinkedIn. Greenspring will provide you with an updated headshot for your LinkedIn profile.
- Meet monthly with the Internship supervisor to set and check in on goals and meet bi-monthly with your Greenspring mentor.
- The Power of the Brand: Periodically meet with our marketing team to understand the power and impact of branding, communication strategies, and growth channels.
