Director, Explore VR
The Director of Explore VR leads the development, management, and expansion of the Explore VR program, a cutting-edge initiative that brings immersive virtual reality experiences into schools and community programs. The Director is responsible for strategic planning, program delivery, staff management, outreach, partnerships, and ensuring high-quality, educational VR experiences that engage youth and advance their learning in STEM and career exploration.
Key Responsibilities:
● Oversee the full Explore VR program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and
strategic vision.
● Curate and maintain a catalog of VR experiences aligned with curriculum and career
exploration objectives.
● Lead fundraising efforts and grant writing initiatives to secure financial support for
program growth and sustainability.
● Manage inventory, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all VR headsets and
related equipment.
● Oversee the deployment of VR applications and content using platforms such as
ManageXR.
● Ensure proper data collection, reporting, and technology usage standards across all
program sites.
● Serve as the primary point of contact for schools, teachers, and community partners.
● Conduct outreach to local schools, districts, and educators to promote VR experiences
and secure bookings.
● Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, industry partners, and sponsors
to support program initiatives.
● Hire, train, and supervise part-time staff, interns, and volunteers involved in program
delivery.
● Lead staff in delivering high-quality educational experiences, managing student
behavior, and facilitating VR sessions.
● Plan and execute VR events, field trips, workshops, and career exploration initiatives.
● Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate VR experiences into
larger programs or community events.
● Some Regional travel may be required
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Education, Technology, Business, or related field
● Minimum 3–5 years of experience in program management, preferably in educational
technology, STEM programs, or youth development.
● Strong technical proficiency with VR platforms, applications, and hardware management.
● Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills.
● Experience in staff supervision, mentoring, and team leadership.
● Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with educators, students, and
community partners.
● Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
● Drivers License & Reliable Transportation Required
