Planning, Legal & SMS Applications Co-op (Hybrid)

PJM Interconnection is a regional transmission organization (RTO) that plays a vital role in the U.S. electric system. PJM ensures the reliability of the largest centrally dispatched control area in North America by coordinating the movement of electricity in all or parts of 13 states. PJM, acting neutrally and independently, operates the largest competitive wholesale electricity market in the world. PJM manages a sophisticated regional planning process for generation and transmission expansion to assure future electric.

The Planning, Legal and SMS department is positioned within the Information Technology Services (ITS) division. Primary responsibilities are:
• Develop and maintain custom applications in partnership with SMEs from each of the divisions 
• Support existing 3rd party tools 
• Partner with the SMEs in evaluating, procuring and implementing new 3rd party tools 
• Support O&M (password changes, vulnerability remediation, framework upgrade and break fix work) for all the custom as well as 3rd party tools\

Job responsibilities include: 
• Assist the product owners in requirement gathering , release planning and cycle planning activities 
• Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure successful releases of all our tools 
• Help coordinate shared account /system account password changes 
• Coordinate releases 
• Coordinate site switchovers

Required Skills:
•Be curious, have a strong desire to learn and contribute to the team’s success
• Knowledgeable about software development process, familiar with Scrum methodology, well versed in MS Office tools and other common business applications 
• Willing to research and learn new concepts
• Detail oriented
Preferred Skills:
• MS Office, Teams, Adobe 
• Software development tools and processes

This co-op position is hybrid. 

PJM will not be providing Housing/Transportation assistance, the successful candidate must be able to come on-campus when needed.
