Part-Time Grassroots Engagement Director

Location: Omaha, NE

Type: Part Time, Non-Exempt

Reports to: State Director

Compensation: $33,750-$42,000 annual DOE

Position Summary

The Grassroots Engagement Director leads local outreach efforts to advance civic engagement rooted in free enterprise and individual liberty. This role builds and manages field teams, organizes community events, and drives voter registration and education campaigns. Ideal candidates are self-starters with a passion for economic freedom, personal responsibility, and strengthening communities through civic action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead grassroots engagement in an assigned region 
  • Recruit, train, and manage canvassers and volunteers 
  • Build relationships with civic groups, small business leaders, and community influencers 
  • Organize voter registration drives, GOTV efforts, and educational events 
  • Track outreach metrics and report progress to the State Engagement Director 
  • Monitor local policy developments and governmental dynamics 
  • Ensure compliance with all laws governing grassroots activities
  • Collaborate with other regional directors to align strategies and share best practices

Qualifications

Required:

  • 1+ years in grassroots organizing, field operations, or community engagement
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Availability on work evenings/weekends and to travel locally
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Passion for free-market principles, limited government, and civic education

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Omaha and surrounding communities
  • Experience with canvassing tools (e.g., i360, GroundGame, Reach)
  • Background in voter registration or issue-based advocacy

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $33,750-$42,000 DOE
• Mileage reimbursement for field travel
• Opportunity to grow into higher-level roles as the organization scales
