Job purpose
This is an intern / co-op position for an Engineering Student in the Battery and Charging Systems business unit. The candidate will be responsible for working with the service team to trouble shoot battery systems and equipment. He/she will develop standards of work, including training plans, and time studies of service technicians and will be responsible for Key Performance Indicators (KPI) management.
Key responsibilities
Service and Warranty Management:
Key Performance Indicators (KPI) management
Trouble shooting battery system and equipment
Track service site maintenance
Track service tool change requests
Problem Solving:
Assist in structured problem-solving process (8D) for customer returns.
Support lessons learned read across activity to other plants or regions.
Coordinate problem solving between engineering and service technician.
Workshop
Support the development of a training plan
Time studies
Other duties as assigned by the manager.
and What we’re looking for
Student working toward a bachelor’s degree (Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technician Preferred, but will also consider Mechanical or Computer Engineer)
Willingness to learn tools such as 8D, 5 whys, Quality Alerts to resolve quality issues.
Excellent drive for results with the ability to coordinate projects from start to completion.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
